| Guitarist/vocalist Sean Carney has been called central Ohio's best kept secret. His debut release, "Provisions," presented him as a specialist in '40s and '50s California-style blues. Sean cut his teeth backing Nashville R&B queen Christine Kittrell and Texas blues belter Jimmy "T-99" Nelson. The group covers classic songs by the likes of T-Bone Walker, Lowell Fulson, Johnny Watson, Bobby Bland, "Gatemouth" Brown, Elmore James, J.B. Lenior, Ike Turner and more. But Carney is no copyist, as he also likes to improvise within the styles of his influences and takes off from there. |
