| Dave Hawkins formed Celtic CoreŠ in 1995 at the bequest of Pat Kilbride of the international Celtic rock group Kips Bay, who was looking for an opening act during the Ohio portion of their tour. "The Core" has received rave reviews and performs at many folk and Celtic festivals. Hawkins and band mates John Sherman and Peg Buchanan have made more than 20 recordings both as solo and ensemble performers. The group combines high-energy Celtic music infused with Irish and Scottish music, with a bit of Americana and Celtic American tunes thrown in. |
