Lancaster Chorale

Recognized as one of the finest professional ensembles in the country, the 32-member Lancaster Chorale's "pure sound" and sense of ensemble are hallmarks of Artistic Director and Conductor Robert Trocchia's distinctive approach to choral music. The Chorale's recording of Barber's "Adagio," Howell's "Requiem," and Martin's "Mass for Two Choirs" have been featured four times on NPR. The Chorale receives funding from the Ohio Arts Council, Arts Midwest, Presser Foundation and Ameritech. Mr. Trocchia has served as artistic director and conductor of the Chorale since 1986. He also serves as director of music for the Fairfield Union Schools, director of choral activities at Ohio University-Lancaster, and has been honored as one of America's top educators. He has conducted 15 world premieres by composers such as Norman Luboff, Robert Page, Kirke Mechem and Dorothy Papadakos. Accompanist Debbie Fox joined the Chorale in 1999. She holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in piano.
