| Bill Shontz is a former music professor at the University of Illinois, Ohio State, Muskingum College and Bluffton College. He is trained in classical clarinet and received a master's degree in flute, clarinet, saxophone and recorder from OSU. He has performed solo and ensemble work with various professional groups and for 20 years was half of the nationally acclaimed duo RosenShontz. He has eight award winning albums and three videos, one which was nominated for an Emmy. He has received numerous awards from parenting and library groups. His latest release, "The Day I Read a Book," is designed to encourage children and families in their love of books and reading. He is a spokesperson for EARTHWATCH and Green Up Vermont. He is also on the roster of the Vermont Council on the Arts, New England Foundation for the Arts and Meet the Composer. |
