Ben E King



The Lancaster Festival welcomes Ben E King, one of America's great soul singers. This Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee was originally a member of the Drifters and performed hits including, "There Goes My Baby"(1959), "This Magic Moment"(1960), and "Save the Last Dance For Me"(1960). His solo career soared with smash hits "Spanish Harlem", "First Taste of Love" and the all time favorite "Stand By Me". The magic of that tune endures as his signature song. In 1975, he hit the charts with "Supernatural Thing" and recorded with the Average White Band. He continues to perform to appreciate audiences worldwide and remains one of the best-loved entertainers by his peers.
