Bandstand Italian Street Painting,
Registration fee to paint
Anyone from professional artists to little DaVincis who feel that paper and pencils are not grand enough for a personal masterpiece is welcome in the “performance” experience. Side by side, artists will fill the pavement “canvases” with their own unique inspirations using special chalks. As space is limited, early registration is suggested to avoid disappointment.
Registration for artists participating in the Italian Street Painting may be made at Art and Clay on Main 150 W. Main Street, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Phone 740-653-1755. The painting starts on the morning of the 21st (around 9:00 a.m.).Artists should finish their work for viewing at during ARTWALK on the 23rd.

Bandstand The Afro-Rican Ensemble
The award-winning sextet serves up their unique brand of Latin-flavored and Caribbean jazz during lunchtime at the bandstand. Led by Rolando Matias, the ensemble recently performed at jazz festivals in Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.

Shaws Inn Café Concert #1
Informal performance featuring Michael Davis in the intimate setting of Shaw’s Inn. Refreshments and refreshing commentary served.

6:00 PM
Downtown Lancaster ArtWalk
Visit Lancaster’s Historical District to browse through businesses that become galleries for the evening to showcase the works of local and national artists. Live music at the bandstand and food vendors in the square make the evening a popular gathering for thousands of people.

7:00 PM
Bandstand Rustie Blue and the Stallions
Performing traditional country with a bluesy twist, Rustie Blue and The Stallions, including members Sonny Avery, Terry Blair, Steve Larck, Bob Malon, Ray Smith and Jimmy Watson, present a high-energy show for the ArtWalk crowd.

First United Methodist Church Candlelight Concert
Featuring The Veronika String Quartet
A late-evening program with the Festival’s resident string quartet includes works by Turina, Boccerini and Dvorak.
