Chamber Music Classics - The Generation Gap Trio: From Rameau to Ragtime
The Generation Gap Trio, especially formed for the Lancaster Festival, features orchestra members Judith Lynn Stillman, piano; Dmitri Pogorelov, violin; and John Sant'Ambrogio, cello. The musicians explain the history and play examples of music written for the piano trio.
Cellist John Sant’Ambrogio is principal cellist with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops Orchestra. He served as a faculty member of Boston University and founded the “Strings in the Mountains” festival in Steamboat Springs, Colorado in 1988. Mr. Sant’Ambrogio studied music at Ohio University in Athens and Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania.
