Teen Songwriting CD Project with Arnett Howard
Arnett Howard teaches middle and high school students how to turn their song ideas into finished pieces. Students will learn to record, mix and master the results to CD; create disc art and liner notes; and have completed a CD by Friday. Some outstanding songs may premier at the Friday night concert with Big Daddy Blue. Advance registration is required. Call 740-687-4808.

Special Consensus
This four-person acoustic bluegrass band began performing in 1975 and later initiated the Traditional American Music Program in schools across the country. They have been featured on The Nashville Network and National Public Radio. Their repertoire features original compositions, traditional bluegrass standards and songs from other musical genres. The group includes Greg Cahill, banjo and vocals; Justin Carbone, guitar and vocals; Tres Nugent, bass and vocals; and Ron Spears, mandolin and vocals.

Capital City Jazz Band
Hot jazz trumpeter John Red Stamets came out of retirement in 2005 and was Arnett Howard's guest at last year's sold-out Tribute to the Three Louies. Red was so enthusiastic about the event he wanted to put together a reunion of his Capital City Jazz Band, one of the hottest New Orleans traditional bands in Columbus history. A group of all-star players will perform, including Arnett, pianist Johnny Uhlrich and bassist Terry Dowds.
