Lancaster Festival Concert Venue
OUR OUTDOOR SYMPHONY CONCERTS ARE HELD ON THE GROUNDS OF
THE OHIO UNIVERSITY-LANCASTER CAMPUS
THE LOCATION
This outdoor concert venue is a natural
amphitheatre, complete with hills, trees, and a babbling brook. There is
table seating for over 3000 people, and almost unlimited lawn seating.

GROUND COVERS (TARPS) IN THE LAWN SEATING AREA IS LIMITED TO 6X8 FEET. Portable
restroom facilities are available. |

GENERAL INFORMATION
The concert grounds open for picnics at 5:30
pm for Saturday performances and at 6:00 pm for Wednesday performances. Concert-goers
may bring their own food and beverages, or purchase food on the site.
Kroger concessions are available at the site, and there are beer and wine
sales for adults. Responsible consumption of alcohol is requested. |
SHUTTLE SERVICES
On July 21 and 28, shuttle service will be available from Kroger East
(Main St) and River Valley Mall (near J.C. Penney's, across from Lone
Star) parking lots to the OU-L concert site. Shuttles begin running at
5:00 pm and continue with the last shuttle leaving at 7:15 pm. Return
trips begin immediately after the concert and continue until all patrons
are transported. There is NO FEE - Donations accepted.
HANDICAPPED SERVICES
All concerts are wheelchair accessible.
Special parking areas and services are available for disabled and elderly.
While entering the concert grounds on College Avenue, turn on your emergency flashers
to alert all parking attendants that you need special parking. Once you have parked,
golf carts will take to to seating areas. Call 740-687-4808 for further information. |
PROHIBITED DEVICES
Recording devices of any kind are not permitted
on the grounds. This includes cameras, video recorders, audio recorders, cell
phones and pagers. Physicians and other on-call emergency personnel must switch all
devices to non-audible signalling mode, or you may be contacted through the
site office trailer (740-653-8800). |
WEATHER POLICY
Outdoor concerts will proceed unless dangerous weather
conditions exist. No refunds or exchanges will be given. |
