Paul Robinson

Current Professional Activites:
Paul Robinson, professor of double bass, was a student of Philip Albright, Oscar Zimmerman, and Homer Mensch. Robinson has performed for radio, television, theater, and recordings, and was a member of the Filene Center Orchestra at Wolf Trap Farm Park and the Opera House Orchestra at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. He is an active clinician and has served on the Board of Directors of the International Society of Bassists. He is principal bass with the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra and has performed under such conductors as Bernstein, Mehta, and Casals. Robinson received his B.S.M.Ed. from Ball State University and his M.M. and D.M.A. degrees from The Catholic University of America.
