With The Lancaster Festival Orchestra
Five brilliant young artists at the beginning of highly promising careers perform with the Lancaster Festival Orchestra and Maestro Gary Sheldon. Violinist Tai Murray, recent award winner of the Avery Fisher Prize, and bassist Evan Premo, this summer’s Wilkes Young Artist Fellow, headline this exciting program of Festival “firsts.”

Candlelight Concert
Encore Performance
The Lancaster Festival presents an encore performance with the five gifted young artists who appeared on opening night. Hear beautiful chamber music classics with piano accompaniment by Judith Lynn Stillman.

Wynonna!
With The Lancaster Festival Orchestra
Country music megastar Wynonna entertains with classic hits like Mama He’s Crazy and Why Not Me. Named Top Female Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music, Wynonna has recorded 13 top ten hits and sold millions of albums. Maestro Sheldon and The Lancaster Festival Orchestra open the program with a salute to the 2008 Olympics in China. The evening concludes with a breathtaking fireworks display set to music.

Almost Human
Maya Beiser, Cello
A multimedia event not to be missed, Maya Beiser’s thrilling presentation of music, film, lighting display and spoken dialogue introduces a new way to experience concerts in the 21st century. Almost Human refers to the nearly human voice of the cello.

Cabaret at the Elks
with Bolcom and Morris
Traversing Broadway, vaudeville, music hall and ragtime eras to the end of the 20th century, the duo of William Bolcom and Joan Morris have delighted audiences across the United States and around the world. The husband and wife team return to Lancaster for this long-awaited encore performance.

Chamber Orchestra
Masters of American Music with Richard Stoltzman
With The Lancaster Festival Orchestra
Gary Sheldon, Conductor
Be a part of Festival history as the orchestra performs music to be recorded on its first CD. Renowned clarinetist Richard Stoltzman returns to Lancaster to perform and record with the orchestra. Mr. Stoltzman and Maestro Sheldon will be joined by composer William Bolcom to introduce the music from the stage. The music contains a wonderful blend of classical and jazz idioms, with dedications to Duke Ellington and Eubie Blake.

The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience
If you missed Led Zeppelin live in the 1970s or want a chance to relive the music, ZOSO provides the ultimate Led Zeppelin experience. The group is committed to creating the most accurate portrayal of the original band. Autotrain, a progressive acoustic duo featuring Ryan Dewey and Jason Firestone, opens the evening.

Chamber Music Classics - A Musical Feast
with Generations Trio and Veronika Quartet
Outstanding ensembles of musicians from the Lancaster Festival Orchestra will present a varied “menu” of music from different countries.

Arnett Howard Presents
That Sweet Soul Music
Arnett Howard and Friends present a revival of sweet southern soul music typified by recording companies Stax, King Records and Atlantic Records during the 1960s. Those memorable artists include Booker T. and the MGs, Solomon Burke, Don Covay, Otis Redding, Carla Thomas, Sam Moore and Dave Prater, Al Green, Wilson Pickett, James Brown and Aretha Franklin.

A Grand Finale with Kenny Loggins
With The Lancaster Festival Orchestra

Singer and guitar icon Kenny Loggins has recorded hit songs through four straight decades, with 12 of his albums going platinum. His talent spans many musical genres, including country-rock, pop, rock and smooth jazz. The orchestra and Maestro Sheldon open the program with an exhilarating set of dance music, Footloose and Fancy Free, including music from the score to the film Footloose and Leonard Bernstein’s ballet Fancy Free.
