ARTWALK Friday, July 20, 2012 Destination Downtown Lancaster, in conjunction with the Lancaster Festival, welcomes you to the 25th anniversary of the celebrated community ArtWalk in Downtown Lancaster. Every year regional artists submit their qualifications/work to this juried show in order to participate. 7,000 people will visit 40 business venues on Friday July 20th from 6 pm - 10 pm to experience art, meet the artists and purchase original works from the presenting artists. All media types are represented and individual artists may show a collection of work that embodies their evolving interpretations of art. Work will remain on display from July 20-28. Again this year, Destination Downtown Lancaster is offering a People's Choice Award of $500 for the "Best in Show." The winning artist will be announced on the final night of the Festival at the Ohio University-Lancaster Campus July 28th. After opening night of the ArtWalk, most of the exhibits will remain open during the venue's normal business hours.
