From the Chautauqua Program: "The fifth day of the Chautauqua Assembly will be the gala day and the entertainment will be at its very height. Sands Regimental Band of thirty pieces, accompanied by Miss Fanchon Eastman, will render two great full program concerts, occupying the whole afternoon and evening hours.
This band is recognized as one of the great musical organizations of the country, presenting music of practically every type, from classical to popular, some number or numbers of which will please the ear of every person.
At least one player of each kind of instrument is a competent soloist, and the ensemble of the band is so harmonius and so delightful that music lovers will be enthusiastic in their applause.
Miss Eastman possesses a rich and full soprano voice and her singing with the band accompanying, will be one of the many rich treats of the Chautauqua.
Do not fail to hear one or both of these great concerts. If you are present at the afternoon concert, we are confident that nothing will keep you away from the one to be rendered in the evening."
