Safety & Security

For the safety of our patrons and artists, we have some restrictions on what can be brought into our concert venues. We want you to have the very best experience at the Lancaster Festival. You can be sure that your safety, and the safety of our artists, is our top priority.

All items brought into the concert venue are subject to search. Magnetometers will be in use to detect the presence of weapons.

No Drones- NOT permitted without written concert from the Lancaster Festival.

No Balloons, Floating Lanterns, inflatable items - Do not bring items that will obstruct the view of other concert patrons.

No Glass - Beverage and food containers made of glass will not be allowed in the venue

No Smoking- This Includes cigarette, cigars and vaping devices. Ohio University is a smoke-free campus.

No Firearms or Weapons- These are not permitted at any Lancaster Festival event.

No Recording Devices or Professional Cameras - cellphones ARE permitted, cameras with detachable lenses and video cameras are NOT permitted.

Items that are allowed

  • Chairs- for the LAWN section only

  • Foods and Beverages- NOT in glass containers (YES-YOU CAN BRING ALCOHOL!!)

  • Blankets

  • Coolers- For faster entry, please do not bring wheeled cooler

For the BEST concert experience:

Please be respectful of other concert patrons and musicians by refraining from loud talking and noise during the performance.

For FASTER entry- Please bring LESS. We have developed “fast lanes” for patron who are not bringing in lots of items.

Parking and Shuttles:

PARKING IS FREE-Parking is available at Ohio University Lancaster and Lancaster High School. Please follow the signs and the directions of out parking lot attendants.

Handicapped and Mobility Assist Parking- Follow the signs and turn on your HAZARD LIGHTS for this parking area.

Surreys and Golf Carts-Surreys will shuttle from the parking area to the admission line. Carts will transport from the hard lot and mobility assist parking to the Covered Bridge entrance.

Shuttles- FREE Shuttles are available from River Valley Mall and the Fairfield County Fairgrounds. Shuttles run every few minutes from both locations beginning at 5:30pm. Patrons are returned to their car directly after the concert concludes.

Wendel Concert Stage information:

Table Area- The table area is sold as reserved tables with 10 seats. The table area barriers close at 8:00pm and after that, you will be required to have a wristband to enter this area.

Catering- Table catering is available from Barrel & Boar BBQ Factory, Cheers Chalet and Provisions Bakery and Deli. Contact the caterer of your choice directly to order.

On-Site Concessions- Barrel and Boar BBQ Factory will provide food at the Pavillion. Beverage Centers are located next to the Pavillion and at the top of the hill center. You will need ID for all alcohol purchases.

Food trucks- A variety of Food Trucks will join the food offering from Barrel & Boar on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Gates-All gates open at 6:00pm. The Monday and Tuesday concert will only use the Main Gate for entry.
